The Laguna Platinum Series shaper is the perfect machine for custom milling. The large fence is micro-adjustable on the infeed and outfeed and has a T-slot for jigs, fixtures, and stops and is anchored to a cast-iron hood assembly with a 4 dust port. The powerful 3 HP Leeson TFEC motor provides plenty of power for the most demanding jobs. The entire spindle housing and motor assembly raises and lowers on dovetail ways for absolute precision and durability and locks in place for repeatability. The oversized cast-iron work surface is micro-grain and heat treated cast-iron. The centralized control panel features a 3-position arm for ease of use. The miter slot is a precision milled T-slot which is perfect for jigs and fixtures.

The DELTA 43-460 1-1/4-inch 5 HP Solid Spindle Shaper's spindle, housing, motor, and raising and lowering mechanism are in a single self-contained unit, which is securely assembled to the underside of the table for absolute 90-degree spindle-to-table alignment. Its rugged drive spindle assembly and permanently lubricated ball bearings are preloaded to prevent distortion at high speeds to assure accurate, chatter-free shaping. A massive 40-x-27-inch table (with standard cast-iron extension wings) provides extra support for shaping large work. Other features include a precision-ground face and ribbed under table construction to prevent warping. Also included is a precision milled 3/8-x-3/4-inch T-slot, a miter slot to accommodate a miter gauge, a sliding miter jig, and other accessories for holding the workpiece. The DELTA 43-495X X5 3/4-Inch Solid Spindle 3 HP Shaper is designed for optimum efficiency during professional use. The shaper's 3 HP motor, spindle, housing, and raising/lowering mechanism are contained in a secure unit built into the underside of the heavy-duty 40-by-27-inch table. This arrangement ensures a 90-degree spindle/table alignment. The motor includes forward and reverse speeds at 7,000 and 10,000 RPM, respectively. A unique Poly-V drive system channels torque more efficiently to the 1-1/4-inch spindle. Ball bearings with permanent lubrication help prevent distortion at high operation speeds.
